Skin Care Products

Young radiant skin comes from the inside out. One thing we have to remember is that the skin absorbs everything that you apply to it. There is no liver or kidney to filter what you apply to the skin therefore all toxins applied are absorbed directly to the blood stream. In my opinion any skincare product that you could not safely eat, any skincare product that is not organic (with some exceptions noted below)is not safe to use.

The main cause of wrinkles is free radical damage. Antioxidants will reverse the look of wrinkles. So consuming antioxidants and applying antioxidants to the skin will help the skin rejuvenate. Some examples of antioxidants are Vitamins A,C,E which can be found in oranges, blueberries, cocoa, melatonin. Most importantly they are found in Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Grape-Seed oil, Aloe Vera Gel, Witch Hazel, Avocado, Almond Oil, Emu Oil, etc..

It is very important when applying oils to the skin that the oil be raw and organic. If the oil is heated the nutritive benefit of the oil is lost and the skin is only temporarily pumped up to a more youthful appearance.  Oils in commercial prepared cosmetics are rancid oils that help the skin to look younger temporarily but they actually contribute to aging.

Raw oil actually repairs the skin. This is done without stripping the skin or removing any vital layers of skin or damaging the skin in any way.

A great oil that reverses wrinkles is raw organic Coconut Oil. Another food to use as a great facial mask is an organic Avacado.

The Now brand oils are quite nice. They are not certified organic but I have spoken to representatives at their company and I am comfortable that the processes that they use with their oils are safe, and they seem to maintain the integrity of the raw oil.

On this same note it has been said that the countries where Coconuts are grown do not use pesticides as we do here in the USA. Therefore coconut oil from exotic countries such as the Polynesian Islands are safe to use even if they are not certified organic. I use Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil. The cold pressed smells and tastes like coconut. I use this for my skin care. The expeller pressed does not have a coconut taste. I like to use that for cooking only. Consuming this oil in your diet and applying it onto your face will help you reverse the effects of age.

The main cause of age spots is liver damage. Cleaning the liver with various liver cleanses and green juices will reduce and even remove liver spots from the skin. There are various other applications you can use that are quite harmless that will reduce the look of age spots.

Enzyme masks are effective for evening out the skin tone. They break down dead skin cells and even skin tone. Papya is by far the most effective enzyme for breaking down skin cells and removing dead skin and discolored skin cells. You can do this by purchasing an organic Papaya fruit and blending it in a blender. The resulting Papaya can be applied directly to the skin for a refreshing enzyme facial mask. Left over Papaya can be placed in small 2 oz. ball glass canning jars and frozen until you are ready for your next facial.

There are essential oils that when applied to the age spot will remove it after several applications. The Young Living Essential Oil called Purification has removed an age spot that I had on my hand.

I sell a deep penetrating and far-infrared Lamp that helps to even out skin tone and reverse the signs of aging. It is an at home treatment which can easily be used in the morning before you wake up and or at night before you go to sleep. I simply place it on my face while I am still laying down in bed. It costs $400.00 with shipping. I have had mine about 6 years and I use it almost daily. It is showing no signs of wear and I expect it to last several more years. It is a huge bargain in comparison to the ineffective skin care products doctors recommend. Far infrared light is an incredibly healing light. Its technology was taken from space research. More information on this can be found on my sitewww.YoungSkin4Me.com

Last but not least I would like to mention the healing properties of the sun.  The sun is good for you. Exposure to the sun is the only way that our bodies produce vitamin D. The consuming of green leafy vegetables has been said to protect us from the damaging rays of the sun. It is said that the chlorophyll from the green plants protect our bodies from sunburn. That’s just one more reason to be eating green leafy vegetables.

There is a fascinating book in our waiting room called Heal Your Face. It is written by Markus Rothkrantz. You may want to take a look at this book and possibly purchase it for yourself.

My recommendations for skin care. All these products can be found in the natural food section of HEB and at Green Fields and Whole Foods.
